Chocolate Truffles
Chocolate Truffles
20 oz. Chocolate chips
2/3 cup cocoa powder
1/4 cup milk
1 tbsp. plus 1 tsp. coconut oil
extracts of your choice (I used coffee, orange, and cherry)
Put 3/4 cup of chocolate chips and the milk in a microwaveable bowl. Melt until the milk and chocolate are well combined. Add in the cocoa powder. Stir to form the inside of the truffles. Split the truffle mixture evenly between four bowls. Add 1/4-1/2 tsp. of each extract to each bowl and stir well. Place the flavored truffle batter in chocolate heart molds. Place in the freezer for 15-30 minutes to harden. Melt 1/4 cup of chocolate chips and 1 tsp. of coconut oil together. While the truffles are still in the mold, add the melted chocolate evenly to the bottom of each truffle. Let freeze for five minutes. Pop the truffles out of their molds and place on a wire rack. Place the wire rack on a sheet pan lined with wax paper. Melt the remaining chocolate chips and coconut oil together. Coat the truffles with melted chocolate. Allow the chocolate to harden in the fridge for at least 15 more minutes. Take a bite and enjoy!
