Valentine’s Snack Mix

Valentine’s Snack Mix

Puppy Chow

1/2 box rice chex

2 tbsp. of butter

1/4 cup of peanut butter

1/2 cup of chocolate chips

1 tsp. vanilla

1/2 cup - 1 cup powdered sugar

White Chocolate Puppy Chow

1 cup white chocolate chips

2 tbsp. butter

2 drops red food coloring

1/2 cup - 1 cup powdered sugar

Valentines sprinkles

Chocolate Covered Pretzels

2 tbsp. coconut oil

1 cup chocolate chips

1 cup white chocolate chips

2-3 cups mini pretzels

Valentines Sprinkles

Chocolate Pieces

1 cup chocolate chips

1 cup white chocolate chips

2 tbsp. coconut oil

Valentines Sprinkles

1 cup coated chocolate candy pieces

In a microwave safe bowl melt butter, peanut butter, and chocolate chips. When fully melted stir in the vanilla. Pour the melted chocolate over the rice chex and coat the cereal evenly. In a paper bag, pour in the powdered sugar. Add the cereal and shake until the cereal pieces are evenly coated in powdered sugar.

In another microwave safe bowl, melt butter and white chocolate chips. Once fully melted, add in the red food coloring to make the melted chocolate pink. Coat the cereal with the melted chocolate and add in the Valentines Sprinkles. Coat with powdered sugar in a paper bag.

Spread the pretzels on a tray with wax paper. Melt the chocolate, white chocolate, and 1 tbsp. of coconut oil for each in separate bowls. Cover half the pretzels with white chocolate and half with dark. I used a silicone piping bag for this, but you can use a plastic bag too. Decorate the pretzels with sprinkles. Place in the fridge to set.

Use silicone molds of all different sizes and shapes for the chocolate pieces. Melt the chocolate, white chocolate, and 1 tbsp. of coconut oil for each in separate bowls. Pour the melted chocolate in all the molds and place in the fridge to set.

In a large bowl mix together the white chocolate puppy chow, regular puppy chow, chocolate and white chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate pieces, and candy coated chocolate pieces. Enjoy your Valentine’s Snack Mix.

*I used Rice Chex, Enjoy Life White Chocolate Chips and Chocolate Chips, Country Crock Plant Based Butter, and Snyder’s Gluten Free Pretzels.*
