Trader Joe’s Velvety Chicken Sausage Pasta
2/3 of a bag of Trader Joe’s Brown Rice Penne Pasta
2 tbsp. olive oil
1 onion, chopped
1 pkg. Trader Joe’s Sweet Italian Chicken Sausage (5 sausages)
6 sage leave roughly chopped
1 cup Trader Joe’s Vegan Heavy Whipping Cream
1/2 cup Trader Joe’s Vegan Parmesan
black pepper to taste
In a large pot cook the brown rice pasta according to the directions on the bag. In another skillet, cook the onion in olive oil. Add in the chicken sausage after two or three minutes of allowing the onion to cook down. Once the sausage and onion are cooked, add in the sage. Cook for one minute. Add in the cream at a very low heat and let it simmer. Add in the parmesan to the cream and mix well. Add in the black pepper and lemon juice. Add the cooked pasta. Mix well. Fold in the lemon zest and enjoy!
