Sliders with a Honey Sriracha Glaze

Sliders with a Honey Sriracha Glaze

For Burger:

1/2 pound of ground beef

1 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. pepper

1/2 tsp. paprika

1/4 tsp onion powder

1/4 tsp. garlic powder

2 hotdogs buns cut in half or 4 mini hamburger buns

2 tbsp. honey

1 tbsp. sriracha

1/4 cup bread and butter pickle chips

For Garlic Aioli:

1 egg yolk

3/4 tsp. lemon juice

1/2 tsp. finely diced garlic

1/2 tsp. dijon mustard

6 oz. olive oil

salt to taste

Start by making your garlic aioli. In a food processor add the egg yolk, lemon juice, dijon, and garlic. Start the food processor and leave it running while you very slowly add in the olive oil. Once all the olive oil has been incorporated taste it and add salt to taste. Refrigerate the aioli while you are making the burgers.

Next, take your 1/2 pound of beef and split it into four equal burger patties. Mix together the spices in a small bowl. Sprinkle the spice mixture on both sides of your slider patties. Heat a cast iron skillet, when it is very hot add the burgers and cook for about 1 1/2 minutes a side or until medium. In a separate pan, toast your burger buns. I cut a hotdog bun in half to make it fit the slider. Once the burgers are done take them off and put them on a plate and set aside. Do the same with your toasted buns.

Then mix together the honey and the Sriracha in a small bowl. Now you are ready to assemble your sliders. Start by taking the bottom bun and spreading your garlic aioli over it. Then add your burger patty. Add the bread and butter pickles. Drizzle over the honey Sriracha glaze and put on the top bun. Take and bite and eat :).

* I used Udi’s Gluten Free Hotdog Buns and cut them in half for my slider buns.*
